Mechanical laboratory is equipped to perform:

1 Mechanical testing of metallic materials

2 static testings (tensile testing,testings by  pressing, by bending, torsion testings,testings by shearing, by creeping),

3 dynamic testings (fatigue, testing of spent energy shock, an examination of the mass loss by  wearing),

 4 hardness testing (static methods: Brinel, Vickers and Rockwel; dynamic methods: spring  method),

5 technological testings (testing of sheets by deep drawing , testing of wire by twisting and alternate bending, technological testings of pipes, testing of reinforcing bars with ribs, chains testing, cables testings)

6. Calibrations of testing devices

- for the assignment of force of 500 N to 5 MN,
- for hardness testings (Brinell method, Vickers and Rockwel methods)
 - of torque (moment keys, torsion machines, scales for the control of moment keys)
 - measuring of spent impact energy (direct method)

Mechanical test and calibration laboratory is accredited by the Institute for Accreditation of  Bosnia and Herzegovina to perform mechanical testings of metallic materials and to calibrate the equipment for measuring force, moment of force and hardness in accordance with the requirements of standard BAS EN ISO / IEC 17 025/2006.

Mechanical test laboratory is accredited to perform the following tests:

1. tension testing of metallic materials at room temperature and elevated temperatures,

2  tension testing of reinforcing steel  and prestressed concrete  (rods and grids),

3 hardness testing by methods of Brinell, Vickers and Rockwel,

4 testing by  bending metal materials, reinforcing steel and prestressed concrete and weld joints of metal materials,

5 testing of wire by twisting and alternate bending,

6 dynamic testing of metallic materials (testing to fatigue)

Mechanical calibration laboratory is accredited to perform calibration of the following measurment equipment:

1 thrust machines (tensile testing machine, presses, dynamometer),

2 devices for testing hardness by Brinell method,

3 devices for testing hardness by Vickers method,

4 devices for testing hardness by Rockwel method,

5 moment keys,

6 devices for measuring of static torsion (torsion machines, scales for control of the moment keys)

Mechanical laboratory has a certificate of approval of the utility company from the Croatian Register of Shipping for mechanical testings of metallic materials.
